To maximize your chances of getting the day, time, and number of tickets you prefer, please book well in advance. Tickets can only be purchased with a Visa, MasterCard, or American Express online. We do not provide a waiting list. If a date and time is sold out, there is a good chance that we will add an additional tour on that day. Please email us with your request.

A tour with its combination of drink and food tastings, with breaks for cultural and historical insight, provides enough food for most participants to be comfortably full afterwards. Please understand ourafternoon food tours are not intended to replace breakfast and lunch combined. Consider eating breakfast the day of your tour. We also strongly encourage you to bring a water bottle!

Tastings range from Memphis BBQ, to ribs, pulled pork, fried pickles, southern fried chicken, BBQ nachos, handmade milkshakes, tamales, southern style fried catfish, Mississippi mud pie, fried green tomatoes, Mississippi caviar to name a just few. Food-tasting items and locations can change without notice.
Tours generally last between 3 and 3.5 hours and participants can expect to be standing or walking for a majority of the time. We walk at a moderate pace and also provide resting locations.
A majority of attendees live right here in Memphis. Memphis locals participate to learn about the neighborhoods and the city in which they live in as well as take advantage of knowing the best local restaurants in Memphis.
Gratuities are greatly appreciated, although not mandatory. The standard gratuity in the service industry is 15%.

When you purchase your tickets please let us know if you (or anyone in your group) has a dietary restriction (e.g. vegetarian, diabetic, allergy, etc.). We will try to accommodate your needs. However, most of our foods are in the meat group, sorry vegans :(

No, the majority of our tastings are in the meat group. Sorry, it's the South!

We are on a schedule to arrive at each tasting location at a certain time so the food is freshly prepared for you, our participants. We ask that you please wait to shop until after the tour so that we can stay on our food-tasting schedule and continue with the informative tour in a timely manner. Consider allowing yourself time at the end of the tour to return to your favorite locations and/or stores.

We highly recommend taking our food tours at the beginning of your visit so you allow plenty of time to revisit the wonderful neighborhoods and tasting locations and have an opportunity to redeem your coupons when available.

The tour is 3 plus hours long and some children have a limited attention span.  Therefore the tour may not be appropriate for them. Parents, you know your children best. Since there is a lot of standing and walking, please consider this when deciding whether the tour is appropriate for your child.

If you are bringing an infant/very young child and they will not be participating in the tastings, you do not need to purchase a ticket for them. However, please indicate in the ‘Notes’ section when you purchase your tickets if your infant or young child will be joining you.

None other than water.  However most of the tasting locations sell beverages during the tour.

Yes you can, however you can not walk on public streets with open alcoholic beverages with the exception of Beale Street. Most restaurants sell beer and wine, but you will have to consume them at the restaurants!

No. However, we try to end up back on Beale Street.  Detailed instructions are provided after ticket purchase with starting and ending point locations, and all participants receive a map with return directions included at the beginning of the tour. Return trips can be accomplished by walking, taking a taxi, or taking the trolley or bus.

Currently, we do not participate in wine tasting on any of our food tasting tours.  Stay tuned as we will be adding these in the future.

Absolutely not! combines listening to live blues, historical facts, local culture and culinary insight into a unique 3+ hour experience. Imagine walking through downtown Memphis, visiting Beale Street with soulful blues playing and BBQ hopping while learning about the neighborhoods from people proud of their home, Memphis.
